Beef and Bacon Burgers
750g lean ground beef
½ cup finely chopped onion
2 slices bacon, diced
1 tbs worcestershire sauce
1¼ cups fresh soft bread crumbs
1 egg
½ tsp salt
5 tsp chili powder
¼ tsp pepper
2 tbs flour
2 tbs vegetable oil
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
How
to cook:
1.
Combine ground beef, onion, bacon, Worcestershire
sauce, bread crumbs, egg, chili powder , salt, and pepper. Mix
with hands until blended.
2.
Shape into 4 to 6 burgers and coat lightly with the
flour. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3.
Fry, broil, or grill the burgers for 7 to 10 minutes on
each side, or until cooked to desired doneness.
4.
Serve in toasted buns.
Chili Dog Chili Recipe
4 tbs vegetable oil
1kg ground beef
2 medium garlic cloves, finely, minced
¼ cup tomato paste
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cups beef broth
5 tbs chili powder
6 tbs corn meal
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cumin
1 bay leaf
How
to cook:
1.
Heat oil and sauté garlic and onion until light
golden, about 7 to 9 minutes. Add chili powder, sugar and
cumin. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
2.
Add ground beef and cook, stirring, until evenly
browned.
3.
Stir in remaining ingredients; reduce heat to low and
simmer until very thick, 15 to 20 minutes. Discard bay leaf.
